DES UNIONS, A CLOSED COLLECTION
Between 2010 and 2020, Lia Rochas-Pàris collected wedding photographs found at flea markets, garage sales and bookstores.
Unions immortalized by photographs that are finally found abandoned to the eyes of anonymous people who have become witnesses to weddings in spite of themselves.
The faces were cut out and replaced by gold leaf evoking both the absence and the universality of the scene.
The closed collection gave rise to an exhibition at the Madé gallery in February 2020 in Paris.
THE MISSAL BOOK
The book "Des Unions" contains the story of a closed collection illustrated with 85 works and accompanied by texts on union by Lia Rochas-Pàris, love by Morgane Ortin, absence by Marie Robert and the collection by Graziella Semerciyan. Parts Taken editions.
DES UNIONS, UNE COLLECTION CLOSE
Entre 2010 et 2020, Lia Rochas-Pàris a collecté les photographies de mariages trouvées sur des marchés aux puces, vide-greniers ou bouquinistes.
Des Unions immortalisées par des photographies qui sont retrouvées finalement abandonnées aux regards d’anonymes devenus témoins de mariages malgré eux.
Les visages ont été découpé et remplacé par de la feuille d’or évoquant à la fois l’absence et l’universalité de la scène.
La collection close a donné lieu à une exposition à la galerie Madé en février 2020 à Paris.
